Reinstalling the Graphics Driver

Are you experiencing the following?

1. Occasional Black Screens
   
2. See weird colors, strange lines, screen tearing, or random flickering on the screen
   
3. Everything on screen is in low resolution
   
4. YouTube videos stutter or buffer while the audio keeps playing 
   
5. Laptop crashed to a blue screen (Error code points to graphics failure or files ending is .sys)
6. External monitors no longer being detected
   

The Fix

1. Right-click the Windows Start menu and search for Device Manager
   
2. Click the arrow next to Display adapters to expand the list 
   
3. Right-click on your graphics card (usually named Intel or AMD) and click Uninstall device 
   
4. Tip: Not sure which graphics card is yours?  
   
1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc on your keyboard to open Task Manager 
2. Click on the Performance tab on the left side
3. Scroll down and click on GPU 
4. Look at the top right corner of the window to see the exact make and model of your graphics card
5. Important! A confirmation box will pop up. If you see an option that says "Attempt to remove the driver for this device" check that box, then click Uninstall.
6. Restart your laptop.
