Want to send a new hire or birthday shoutout without flooding everyone's inbox? Try these simple methods to ensure replies go only to the celebrated employee.
Idea
Option 1: BCC Method
Quick & ideal for New Outlook.
  1. Open a New Email
  2. Put the New Employee/Birthday Person in the To field
  3. Put the Company/Team Group in the bcc field
  4. Send your email!

Option 2: "Direct Replies To" Method
Ideal for Classic Outlook.
  1. Open a New Email
  2. Put the Company/Team Group in the To field.
  3. Go to the Options tab on the top ribbon.
  4. Click on Direct Replies To located in the More Options group.
  5. Find the Have replies sent to:" checkbox under Delivery Options.
  6. Click Select Names and add the New Employee/Birthday Person.
    Tip: Leave your own name here as well if you would like to receive the direct replies.
  7. Click Close on the properties window.
  8. Send your email!
